This Arizona Trailblazers kayaking trip will be at Canyon Lake. We will meet
at the Acacia Picnic Site and launch our kayaks off the beach. From there
we’ll start paddling north on the lake to Russ Cove, Bass Creek, and
the Point Campground, keeping close to the shoreline.
We’ll plan on pulling in to shore for a lunch break around 11:30 or so at the Point Campground, located about 2.5 miles from the Acacia launch area. This is a nice site on a bluff overlooking the lake, with picnic tables and restrooms. Please be advised that we may have to postpone this trip due to unfavorable weather conditions, especially high winds on the lake. Required: • Life Jacket • At least 2 liters of water • Rain poncho • Hat, sunblock, sunglasses Recommended: • Lunch or snacks • Camera |
