Thunderbird Mountain Day Hike
when Trip Report : Thursday, June 3, 2021
where Phoenix
the hike     The trails on and around Thunderbird are perfect for a 2 hour jaunt to get our exercise fix before the heat drives us back indoors.
Each trail consists of uphill, downhill, viewpoints and maybe some wildlife. There is no shade but we’ll be finished before the sun gets high overhead.
Trails are C rated but poles are advised due to sometimes rocky terrain.
Billie and Neil will be leading hikes on Thursdays this summer. Each hike is to 4 to 5 miles and most will be located around the Phoenix area. We may travel to Prescott or Payson if the interest is there. The goal this summer is to meet at the designated trailhead at 6:00 AM. We will hike for two hours, returning to the trailhead by 8:00.
