the hike	Trailblazers to participate in Fountain Hills Hiking Challenge! The trail is well groomed but does have loose scree. This trail is a mix of up and down with great views. There are options on the trail not listed in AllTrails. A 1 mile Lower Ridgeline Loop from R2-R4 and a 0.5 mile spur to an overlook. We will do the spur. The view and the map of the names of distant hills is soooo worth it. The Overlook portion of the hike is also a hike included in the SHORT Challenge. The Lower Ridgeline will be optional or decided by the group.     I’m registered for the LONG Challenge, but may do both… MY hikes are posted for November. You can register with FH or not. You can hike with me or not. You don’t have to register with Fountain Hills to hike these hikes with Trailblazers. But if you are registered and want to hike with me - GREAT!     There are two challenges; one geared for easy hikes with less distance and one for a more challenging hikes with more distance.     Short Challenge offers a total of 7 miles (5 hikes). Long Challenges offers a total of 28.5-33.5 miles (6 hikes, I’m combining 2).     Challenge hikes are to be done any time in the month of November.     The Hiking Challenge T-Shirts will be available for pick up beginning November 1st. T-shirts can be picked up at Town Hall Monday-Thursday 7:00 am-6:00 pm. Town Hall is located at 16705 E Avenue of the Fountains.     See Map.

cost	Registration Fee-$15. All registered participants will receive a commemorative Fountain Hills Hiking Challenge t-shirt. Complete all 7 hikes and share your pictures on social media to be entered to win a $50 gift card to Just Roughin’ It and Fountain Hills Swag. Sharing gas expenses with the driver. The club also allows voluntary contributions of $5 per non-member.
