the hike     Our hike begins at the old corral just before the turnoff to the Canyon Lake Vista turnoff. We hike down the old road behind the corral until we turn left and descend into a tributary of Willow Creek Canyon. When the tributary joins the main canyon, we take a steep scramble out of the canyon and proceed over a series of ridges and deep canyons. Along the way we keep our eyes open for a total of six arches. Eventually we come out at the Horns of the Dilemma rock formation. We follow a trail across Sidewalk Canyon, then turn right to the Poodle Arch formation, the last of the six arches. From here, we return to Willow Creek Canyon and take a trail back to the corral.
