AZHC Awards and Potluck

where	South Mountain Park
potluck	Bring your favorite dish to share: salad, stew, dessert or otherwise. There will be outlets for Crockpots. We will need a few people to bring drinks (no glass allowed, but beer is). The club will supply the plates, cups and utensils. We will have someone to watch the Ramada during the hike. After the hike and potluck we will do the Awards for 2025. the hike:	We will meet at the Little Ramada at 8:00 to get our dishes plugged in that need to stay warm while we are hiking. Once we have the food set up we will assemble to start hiking. Please note trail names given are what is on the trail markers not what the park map says.     Short hike 3 - 4 miles 500 ft EC all right turns until you reach Little ramada then left T-Bone -> Max Delta -> Crosscut -> go pass the 19th Ave ramadas -> Crosscut -> Little ramada     Longer hike 6 - 7 miles 1000 ft EC T-Bone -> Max Delta -> Crosscut -> Las Lomitas -> Crosscut -> go though 19th Ave ramadas -> T-Bonet -> Little ramada There are restrooms and short cuts back to the ramada on the long trail     Required: •  Sturdy hiking boots for persons hiking •  At least 1 - 3 liters of water for persons hiking •  Rain poncho •  Hat, sunblock, sunglasses Recommended: •  Camera •  Hiking pole(s) for the long hike. A few rocky big up / down steps on this trail. •  Camp chairs(s) Ramada benches are hard •  Heavy duty outdoor multiple outlets

meet	Little Ramada at 8:00. to the trailhead.
drive	Drive to the Little Ramada: •  From central Phoenix, follow Central Avenue south all the way to the end where it flows into South Mountain Park. • Continue on Central Ave past the Ranger Station and make the first right and follow that for a short distance. • The Little Ramadas Picnic area will be on the right side of the road.
