where	Mogollon Rim
the hike	Come and explore with us on an easy loop hike around Woods Canyon Lake! We will take the trail from the parking lot and go around the lake counterclockwise. Since it’s a relatively short hike, we can take our time and stop to enjoy the views of the lake. Hopefully we could spy some wildlife, mostly waterfowl, and maybe catch a glimpse of bald eagles nesting next to the shoreline. Required: •  Sturdy hiking boots •  At least 2 liters of water •  Rain poncho •  Hat, sunblock, sunglasses Recommended: •  Lunch or snacks •  Binoculars •  Camera

meet	7:00 AM in the parking lot of the Target Center on the south side of Shea Blvd., about a mile west of Highway 87 (Beeline). For those leaving their cars behind, please park up against the north curb away from Target.
drive	•  Take the Beeline Highway (Arizona 87) north to Payson. • From Payson drive east on State Route 260 past Kohls Ranch to where the road tops out on the Mogollon Rim. • Turn left onto Forest Road 300 and follow the signs for 5 miles to Woods Canyon Lake. • Park in the lot adjacent to the general store and the boat landing.
