What a grand adventure! See Map.
Back by popular demand, we’ll make a second attempt to enter Chevelon Canyon.
Walk a forest road to “D1” where we try to descend 500 feet into
Chevelon to “CS2”. Then choose one of several options to exit Chevelon
(“68N”, “UP4”, “CS2”, “UP3”).
Stay on the ridge until we enter South Fork near “SF1”.
Follow the South Fork to “SF4” and back to our cars.

6:00 AM in the parking lot of
Target Center on the south side of Shea Blvd., about a mile
west of Highway 87 (Beeline). For those leaving their cars behind, please park
up against the northernmost curb facing Shea Blvd. opposite the Target store.
