Goldfield Mountains |
| the hike |
You’ll see more than fool’s gold on this hike! The lithic tuff of
Hat Top Hill and hill 2726 shines bright golden at midday, with iridescent
tones in the early morning or late afternoon sunlight. Along the way are
picture postcard views of the high peaks of the Goldfields, the towering
Superstitions, and the western mining and ranching country.
This hike is described in Goldfield Mountain Hikes by Ted Tenny,
Gem Guides, 2006, pages 58-60.
