the hike     Here’s another chance at that rare opportunity: lakeshore hiking in Arizona!
Follow the Lake around to connect with trail #396. This takes us to Bannon Spring, a scenic pool of water and a great place to sit for a snack and for photos. We will turn around and head back, or if the group decides to hike a bit more we can make it happen. The trail is usually in good shape as we gradually ascend through the pines with lots of nice view points. We will find a table and sit for awhile so bring your lunch which can be left in the car on ice.
The trail is mostly wooded with many ups and downs but no major climbs.
