Eleven Arizona Trailblazer hikers met up at Rattlesnake Cove with thirteen hikers from Sandy’s church group. We started out around 9:30 AM. The water in the lake is really down so it made for some interesting scenery. Lots of exposed shoreline and in one cove we even found a plastic lawn chair where someone had cut a hole in the seat to convert it into a porta potty!

Changing water levels leave waves on the shore.

Do those rocks make a good cushion, Doug?

A little bit of bushwacking and a lot of up and down and around coves along with a clear sunny day made for a beautiful hike along the shore of Bartlett Lake.

The trail is brushy and has its ups and downs, but we made it to the top.

We had a leisurely lunch at SB Cove and headed out refreshed for the return trek. All in all, a good day!
