Peralta Trail is the most popular trail in the Superstitions. You can find this trail in every hiking guidebook. There are also a great number of photos about the beauty of the Superstition Mountains around and along the trail. Total hiking time was about 5 hours, including many stops for catching our breath, admiring amazing rock formations, and taking pictures. The temperature was 76 degrees; not what you’d expect for a winter day. We were very proud of ourselves when we got to Fremont Saddle. From there we took a moment to take in the stunning views before heading back. Trail length for the round trip was 4.5 miles. Along the trail we didn’t see any wildflowers except for a few small brittlebushes and dried fairy dusters. These are photos of the Peralta Trail to Fremont Saddle of Magnificent Seven: |

We were back to trailhead at around 12:45 PM. That left us plenty of time to do chores for the day or relax in the sofa and watch the Sochi Winter Olympics. Thanks to all for coming to join my hike today. Happy Trails! |
