Peralta Trail is the most popular trail in the Superstitions.
You can find this trail in every hiking guidebook.
There are also a great number of photos about the beauty of the
Superstition Mountains around and along the trail.
Total hiking time was about 5 hours, including many stops for catching
our breath, admiring amazing rock formations, and taking pictures.
The temperature was 76 degrees; not what you’d expect for a winter day.
We were very proud of ourselves when we got to Fremont Saddle.
From there we took a moment to take in the stunning views before heading back.
Trail length for the round trip was 4.5 miles.
Along the trail we didn’t see any wildflowers except for a few small
brittlebushes and dried fairy dusters.
