Heather and Lin met at the ticket window. While Lin tried to get tickets, she could not find her reservation bar code, after a few minutes of searching, they found the reservation. Good. Lin made a reservation for eight people at Gertrude’s for 5:30pm, again they cannot find the reservation… A great start for a nice evening. Luckily the restaurant was not very busy yet, so the host was able to set up our table before everyone showed up.
It was very pleasant to sit outside enjoying the Arizona winter. Everyone was happy to see each other, we ordered wine, food, and dessert while laughing, chatting… The service was quite quick, everyone’s food was very delicious and yummy. The dessert? It was so gooood.

“Guys, they close at 8 pm, it is a few minutes past 7 pm, we need to speed up bit here”, Lin said. “What?! We have to go NOW?” “Yes…” It was perfect timing, as most of the DBG visitors had left, the garden was quiet. We walked from one light Bloom display to the next… For the next hour, we totally enjoyed ourselves and the Light bloom in the Garden. Thanks for everyone for coming to enjoy this beautiful garden at night, it was a great evening gathering, I am looking forward to seeing you soon on the trails.
