A hearty group of Trailblazers convened at the Picketpost trailhead on the Saturday after
Black Friday. After introduction of hikers old and new, we proceeded on a counterclockwise
route around the mountain. We kept a brisk pace in the perfectly cool, but not too cool weather
and took a break after passing the Arizona Trail junction.

We enjoyed the transition from desert to wash to riparian habitats and stopped to appreciate the
fall colors remaining in Arnett canyon. After a break in the trees, we continued on our trail,
reaching the trailhead in plenty of time to make our ways home for a late lunch. A happy
non shopping day was had by all.
