Second Water Ridge Day Hike

where Superstition Wilderness
the hike     Not just another hike in the great Superstitions, this “Exploratory Part” has the excitement of the unknown. Leave trail #241 (Black Mesa) at “WX2”. Try to follow the wash route c1-c2-c3 thru c8 to point “B” where we connect with Trail #103 (Boulder Canyon). However, if we get stopped by a waterfall drop off, scamper up to the ridgeline which we’ll take to connect with Trail #236 (Second Water) at “R7” or “TX11”. Come prepared.

weather Apache Junction
meet 8:00 AM at Red Mountain Park located at 7745 E. Brown Rd. in Mesa (south side of Brown Road just east of Power Road).
drive •  Go northeast on the Apache Trail Highway (Arizona 88) past Goldfield Ghost Town and Lost Dutchman State Park, to First Water Road.
•  Turn right on First Water Road and drive to the end.
