| the kayak |
This event is designed to help those new to kayaking to experience new
adventures and to enjoy nature when on the water. This is not a school,
and Lawrence does not have classes. For most people kayaking is intuitive
and people pick up the basics very quickly. Lawrence has been helping people
get onto lakes for over 5 years.
Lawrence holds a safety meeting at the beginning of every event (all must attend) to understand the basic safety issues that come with getting on the water, and what to do in emergency situation. Lawrence and others who may attend provide insight to those new to kayaking when on the lake. By the end of your first event you should know how to steer and control the kayak. FOR SAFETY, please do a few day paddles before doing any evening paddle event, as we tour in deep water. To attend an event: • You MUST KNOW HOW TO SWIM. • PLEASE NO INTEX K1 or K2 kayaks (this is for Safety reasons) • LIFE VESTS MUST BE WARN WHEN ON THE WATER! • You MUST stay with the group. • You must have a sense of ADVENTURE! |
