| the hike |
You may have seen it from the
Dolly Steamboat
dinner cruise.
The crucifix is a natural formation in the rocks they say,
but in any case the canyon is spectacular.
We’ll get there cross-country from the Horse Mesa Dam road, visit
the canyon, then climb out and walk to Mesquite Flat on a primitive road.
Come prepared for bushwhacking, steep, rocky slopes (gloves recommended),
prickly Sonoran vegetation, and desert mountain scenery that will curl
your camera.
