Willow Creek forms the first of several canyons that flow northward to the
Salt River between Canyon Lake and Saguaro Lake.
Follow an off-trail route downstream along Willow Creek to the river, scrambling
around waterfalls and crossing the creek (which may or may not have water in
it) several times. When we get down to the river, reverse course and climb 726'
to the top of hill 2276 for a magnificent overview of Canyon Lake and the
surrounding mountains.
