Arizona Trail 12 & 13 Day Hike

where	Oracle
the hike	This is the second annual event established by the Arizona Trail Association to have people on every segment of the AZT on this one day. It is also a fund raiser for maintenance and improvement of the AZT. The hike is 10.5 miles and generally downhill and is located near Oracle State Park.     We will start at the High Jinks Ranch Trailhead and hike to the Tiger Mine Road Trailhead north of SR 77. This hike will cover segments 22B and 23, which are the north portion of passage 12 and all of passage 13. We will drive down and back on the same day.     Donations to the Arizona Trail Association will be appreciated. Some federal funding for the National System of Scenic Trails has been eliminated.

meet	6:30 AM at Home Depot in Mesa on the southeast corner of Power and US 60.
drive	•  Take US 60 east to SR 79 then south through Florence to Oracle Junction. • Left on SR 77 to Oracle • Proceed 0.8 miles and turn left on Old Tiger Road. • Go north 1.8 miles to the AZT trail sign. This is the ending trailhead. We will drop one or more cars here and load into the remaining cars and return to SR 77 and Oracle. • Turn south at the eastern intersection of AZ 77 and East American Avenue. • Drive 1.5 miles on American Avenue. • Turn right onto Mount Lemmon Road. • Continue 5 miles to Campo Bonito Rd., then turn right. • Follow Campo Bonito Rd for 1.5 miles, then turn right again onto High Jinks Road. • Follow this road for 0.7 miles to its end. The ranch will be to your left and the AZT to your right.
