This is an exploratory adventure.
See Map.
Plan A: requires high clearance: Third time is the charm. I hope. The hike starts on Forest Road 119. We hike the road about 1.8 miles to the trailhead (done it). Hike down to the creek (new to the trip leader). Explore the creek northward for 1.5 miles (also new) and return. Plan B: high clearance not required: Start the high from Forest Road 180 at “CR3”. Head southward toward “SS75” then northeast to “X71” looking for a way down. We can add additional miles and elevation if we get down. If we cannot get down we can add a northern tack, venturing to the ridge at “S73”. |
