| the hike |
We will hike FR 1704 northeast from Sycamore exit off (SR87), then head
off trail toward Boulder Bob’s Cabin, explore, then head north
through Boulder pass and pick up the Arizona trail. We hike the trail
westward, crossing Sycamore Creek near the end at the Bushnell Tanks exit.
Boulder Bob used to go into Mesa and bring back jars. You can see them in the remnants of the cabin. We will hike at a moderate pace. This will be a car shuttle hike from Sycamore Creek to Boulder Bob’s cabin, ending on the Arizona Trail near Sunflower. A joint outing with Arizona Outdoor & Travel Club™. |
