| the hike |
If a new hike with beautiful scenery appeals to you, this is your hike.
Bearfoot trail was just completed in March 2016 and was officially introduced
in May during the Pine-Strawberry Trail Days festivities.
We will start the hike at the top of Pine Mountain, on Pine Canyon Trail #26. Hike down on steep, rocky switchbacks,. After a mile the trail levels off. One mile past Parsnip Spring, we will cross Bearfoot Bridge and begin to hike on Bearfoot trail. The trail has many ups and downs among cypress, juniper, pine, oak and Mogollon Rim Vistas. Bring your camera. The hike will involve a car shuttle. We will park one car at Bearfoot Trailhead and drive to Cinch Hook Trailhead to start the hike. Due to the rocky switchbacks on Pine Canyon Trail #26, hiking sticks are a must. |
