This hike follows the Arizona Trail passage 28 north from the Baragman Tank Park
AZT Trailhead toward Mormon Lake. This little used trail is smooth and soft with fairly
flat miles which pass thru the ponderosa forest with views of abundant wildlife. We will stop for a snack/ lunch along the way.
There will be a car shuttle. |

Gooseberry Trailhead is reach by taking I-17 north to exit 339 for Lake Mary Road and
proceeding right/south for 32.0 miles to FR 92 where you turn left and proceed 0.4
miles to the trailhead parking. The trailhead can also be reached by taking exit 306 off I-17 at Stoneman Lake Road and following Stoneman Lake Road to Lake Mary Road and turn left/north. Procced for 2.4 miles until you turn right on FR 92 and proceed 0.4 miles to the trailhead parking. We will Car pool to the Bargaman Park tank Trailhead and hike back to Gooseberry Trailhead. |
