| the hike |
To visit this seldom-hiked canyon we’ll follow First Water Creek
upstream, climb waterfalls, continue cross country to the canyon, and
return by way of Boulder Basin and Parker Pass. Come prepared for wet
cobblestones, boulder scrambling (gloves recommended), bushwhacking through
prickly vegetation, charismatic rock formations, and the Superstition
Mountains’ majesty!
This hike is described in
Footloose from Phoenix,
by Ted Tenny, pages 159-166.
