Old West Boulder Canyon Day Hike

the hike     To visit this seldom-hiked canyon we’ll follow First Water Creek upstream, climb waterfalls, continue cross country to the canyon, and return by way of Boulder Basin and Parker Pass. Come prepared for wet cobblestones, boulder scrambling (gloves recommended), bushwhacking through prickly vegetation, charismatic rock formations, and the Superstition Mountains’ majesty!
    This hike is described in Footloose from Phoenix, by Ted Tenny, pages 159-166.
