| the hike |
To visit this scenic canyon we’ll follow First Water Creek upstream,
climb waterfalls, continue cross country to the canyon, and return by way
of O’Grady Canyon and Parker Pass. Come prepared for wet cobblestones,
boulder scrambling (gloves recommended), bushwhacking through prickly
vegetation, charismatic rock formations, and the Superstition
Mountains’ majesty!
This hike is described by Jack Carlson and Elizabeth Stewart in Hiker’s Guide to the Superstition Wilderness, Clear Creek Publishing, Tempe, AZ, 1995, pages 159-161. |
