where? Superstition Wilderness
the hike     Sweeping mountain vistas and capricious canyons await you on this loop hike in the northern Superstitions. We’ll start from Canyon Lake Trailhead and climb hill 2351 for a grand overview, then make our stepwise descent past Geronimo Head into LaBarge Canyon and Boulder Canyon. On the way we’ll visit the Indian Paint Mine before rock-hopping our way back to the Boulder Canyon Trail. Be sure to bring your camera.
    This hike is described on pages 193-195 of Hiker’s Guide to the Superstition Wilderness by Jack Carlson and Elizabeth Stewart, with a map on page 187.
