| the hike |
Sweeping mountain vistas and capricious canyons await you on this loop hike
in the northern Superstitions. We’ll start from Canyon Lake Trailhead
and climb hill 2351 for a grand overview, then make our stepwise descent past
Geronimo Head into LaBarge Canyon and Boulder Canyon.
On the way we’ll visit the Indian Paint Mine before rock-hopping our
way back to the Boulder Canyon Trail. Be sure to bring your camera.
This hike is described on pages 193-195 of
Hiker’s Guide to the Superstition Wilderness
by Jack Carlson and Elizabeth Stewart, with a map on page 187.
