Coffee Flat-Bluff Spring Ridge Day Hike
when Trip Report : February 23, 2002
where Superstition Mountains
the hike On this moderately paced Superstition Wilderness hike you can climb to Miner’s Summit on the Dutchman’s Trail, then turn east on the Whiskey Springs Trail for 1/2 mile before climbing the ridge. From there enjoy some of the finest views of Weaver’s Needle, Bluff Spring Mountain, Picacho Butte, Coffee Flat Mountain, Miner’s Needle, and the glory of the Superstitions! Continuing northwest, then re-join the Dutchman’s Trail where it goes by an unusual grove of cedar trees.

meet 7:00 AM at Home Depot in Mesa on the southeast corner of Power and US 60.
drive
•  Take the Superstition Freeway and US 60 east to Peralta Road, near mile 204.
Turn left and go east on Peralta Road 7 miles to Peralta Trailhead, where the road dead-ends.
The road crosses several streams which may be flowing after a rain. Stay on Peralta Road, taking the left turn away from the Quarter Circle U Ranch and avoiding the left turn to Lost Goldmine Trailhead.
Park at Peralta Trailhead, where the road dead-ends.
25 miles from Home Depot to Peralta Trailhead (50 round trip).
