Inspiring views of the Usery, McDowell, Mazatzal, Goldfield, and Superstition
Mountains will reward us on this trail walk in the Tonto National Forest.
We’ll hike one way from Usery Pass to Meridian Trailhead on named and
unnamed trails, enjoying the splendor of colorful rock formations and Sonoran
vegetation.
For the rough and ready, there will be an optional side trip to climb nearby Peak 3004. This option is off trail and exploratory, making it a "B" hike. See Map. The West Goldfield Vista hike is described in Goldfield Mountain Hikes by Ted Tenny, pages 22-24. |
