On this scenic hike we will start from Hackamore Trailhead and hike to
Bulldog Canyon. Leave the canyon and hike up to Peak 3134 and
along the ridgeline to Peaks 3089 and 3047 for some great pictures.
From Peak 3047 we will bushwack down to a wash and return to the trailhead
via F.S. 1356 and the trail to Hill Junction and Green Thumb.
Come prepared with long sleeves, pants and gloves.

book Goldfield Mountain Hikes, pp 58-60 and 96-97.

8:00 AM at
Red Mountain Park located at 7745 E. Brown Rd. in
Mesa (south side of Brown Road just east of Power Road).
Directions from the Red Mountain Freeway (Loop 202):

Exit 26 (Brown Road). |

Go west on Brown a half mile to the light at Sterling Dr. |

Turn left (south) at Sterling into the park.
Then take the first left into the Palo Brea parking lot.
