Bulldog Wash Ridge Day Hike

where Goldfield Mountains
the hike     On this slightly exploratory hike we’ll traverse the familiar Blue Ridge and the decidedly unfamiliar Bulldog Wash Ridge. In between is a wild and woolly off-trail excursion into the rolling southern foothills of the Goldfield Mountains. Come prepared for some off-trail climbing, prickly vegetation, and unforgettable mountain vistas.
    The Blue Ridge part of this hike is described on pages 52-54 of Goldfield Mountain Hikes by Ted Tenny, with a map on page 149.

meet 7:00 AM at Red Mountain Park located at 7745 E. Brown Rd. in Mesa (south side of Brown Road just east of Power Road).
Directions from the Red Mountain Freeway (Loop 202):
•  Exit 26 (Brown Road).
Go west on Brown a half mile to the light at Sterling Dr.
Turn left (south) at Sterling into the park. Then take the first left into the Palo Brea parking lot.
