the hike     Come join us on a well-loved, fun hike up Bulldog Saddle. This is a wildly scenic "B" hike! Massive, colorful volcanic buttes rise vertically from the top of Bulldog Ridge, separated by strangely smooth saddles offering awesome views at all angles. Thread your way around the buttes, follow the ridge to a saddle by hill 3113.
At that point we'll add a detour to hike up a fairly steep, rough cairned trail to the peak about a half mile or so to the east. Hiking poles strongly recommended for this portion. The views from the top are 360 degrees and incredible! Then we'll head back down to the saddle to the trail down the valley, and up to join the Pass Mountain Trail that loops on back to the parking lot.
