Peak 2881 Day Hike
when Trip Report : October 29, 2005
where Goldfield Mountains
the hike     Historic Bagley Tank is a stock watering pond left over from cattle ranching days. On this lighthearted hike we’ll walk to Bagley Tank from Willow Springs Trailhead. Leave civilization behind as we climb wild and woolly peak 2881, highest point in the eastern Goldfields. Bring your camera!
After our picnic on the peak we’ll bail out and walk in the sky as we follow the ridge down to Apache Gap. Along the way there will be gorgeous slickrock, steep, rocky slopes, brilliant lichens, and photo-ops aplenty.
This hike is described in Goldfield Mountain Hikes by Ted Tenny, pages 126-128.
