A one-way trail walk will take us to the Salt River at Blue Point
Trailhead by way of Bulldog Canyon in the Tonto National Forest.
Our route is through a region of colorful Sonoran vegetation and wildlife,
with expansive views of the rugged western skyline of the Goldfields
(cameras recommended).
Starting from Idaho Access, we’ll hike the Idaho Pass Trail,
bushwhack in Bulldog Canyon, then follow FR 10 north to Blue Point Trailhead.
Part of this hike is described on pages 33-34 of
Goldfield Mountain Hikes
by Ted Tenny, mapped on pages 149,148,151.
