| the hike |
This is a car shuttle. We start at MP212 where Sycamore crosses SR87.
Stone hop our way southward looking for spot to leave the creek bottom,
somewhere between S0 and S1. Scramble our way along the ridgeline from
high points at S3 and 2911.

Have great views of the creek below (I think) and Pine Mountain to the east. As we come down the ridge we will check out Dos S Ranch (it is for sale). Finish up in lower part of Otero Canyon FR160. After a few more water crossings we arrive at the cars. Poles and gloves always a good idea, along with sufficient liquids and lunch. |
