| the hike |
We hike trail #048, a 4 mile +-1600' loop starting at Mt. Peeley Trailhead,
finishing the last 1.2 miles on FR 201. Then we explore Pine Mountain Mine
(2 miles out and back, +-500'). Then we check out the Mercuria Mine
(2 miles out and back +-300').

6:30 AM in the parking lot of Wendy’s on the north side of Shea Blvd.,
about a block west of Highway 87 (Beeline). For those leaving their cars behind,
please park in the back parking lot of Wendy’s.
