when November 3 - 6 Monday - Thursday
where Patagonia Lake State Park
the kayak     Monday Nov 3rd: Leave Phoenix and Tucson on thru Sonoita & Patagonia 12:30pm: Stop for lunch at the Gathering Grounds Cafe restaurant in Patagonia. Check out the Patagonia shops. 2:00 pm: Check into Patagonia Lake State Park & set up camp in the West Campground & check out the lake, and amenities: electric hookups, fire pits, showers, lakeside store and marina. (Bring your own dinner.)

    Tuesday Nov 4th: 9:30 a.m.: Kayak counterclockwise around the entire lake exploring all the nooks and crannies. (Bring your own meals.) 5:30pm: Group campfire

    Wednesday Nov 5th: 9:00 a.m.: Fishing or kayak clockwise around the lake. (Bring your own breakfast and dinner.) 2:30pm: Late lunch at the Velvet Elvis restaurant in Patagonia. 5:30pm: Evening fishing or kayak and later a campfire.

    Thursday Nov.6th: Pack up. Stop at the Pronghorn Restaurant in Sonoita for pizza or go back thru Nogales, or the way we came.

    We are camping in the West Campground area with electric hookups, trash pickups, real flush toilets, and hot showers. There is a small store and a marina, and a sandy beach for swimming.     If interested in reserving a campsite, go online to the AZ State Park website and reserve a campsite in the West Campground area.     If only kayaking on Tuesday or Wednesday:     A day pass entrance fee into the Patagonia State Park is:     $20/1-4 persons per vehicle. (No pass needed for campers.)
    Please be advised that we may have to postpone this trip due to unfavorable weather conditions, especially high winds on the lake.

•  Hat, sunblock, sunglasses

•  Lunch or snacks
•  Camera

starting at Off load kayaks from your car at the West Campground boat launch. Or roll kayaks from your campsite with your wheels. Eva’s campsite is PTL-108 just left of the boat ramp.

A Day Pass entrance fee into Patagonia State Park is: $20 for 1-4 people per vehicle. (This is for non-campers only.)
The club also allows voluntary contributions of $5 per non-member.

From Phoenix take I-10 thru South Tucson, Take I-19 South towards Nogales, Take 289 West exit at the Loves & Pilot gas station, Turns into E. Ruby Road, 1.7 miles Via Fronteta, 500ft S. River Rd, then 4.9 miles turn Left on E. Patagonia Hwy, Then 6.3 miles left onto Lake Patagonia Rd. 3.5 miles to Patagonia Lake State Park Entrance Show park ranger reservation or purchase a $20 Day pass Continue to West campground boat ramp or your campsite.

Option 2:
From Phoenix take I-10 South thru Tucson, & after Vail. Take exit 83 for S. Sonoita Hwy. 83 to Sonoita Turn Right onto SR 82 towards Patagonia Continue thru Patagonia on E. Patagonia Hwy. Turn right on Patagonia Lake Rd. Continue 3.5 miles to Patagonia Lake State Park Entrance Show park ranger your reservation or purchase a $20 Day pass Continue to West Campground boat ramp or your campsite.
