Soldiers’ Pass Cave Day Hike

the hike     Get to know this 3 to 5 mile (depending on parking location) out-and-back trail near Sedona, Arizona. Generally considered a moderately challenging route. This is a very popular area for hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring.
    This has a vertical scramble at the end and an 18 inch wide ledge with a missing piece to jump over. Not for the faint of heart. Not for the exposure challenged persons.
    This is a sensitive archaeological site. Please be respectful of the surrounding wilderness area by traveling on the main trail so as to not disturb the cryptobiotic soil and sensitive vegetation. Hikers are asked to practice leave no trace principles in order to help with the preservation of these sites.

meet 6:30 AM in the McDonald’s carefree off I -17 at 3140 W Carefree Hwy, Phoenix, AZ 85086.
•  I-17 north to Sedona exit.
Left though traffic circle to 89A west toward Cottonwood.
One mile past traffic circle, turn right on Soldiers' Pass Rd.
Follow to the end and park in the small lot.
