Day 2 Fennau – S’Arena Giant’s graves – Nuraghe Perd’e Balla :
This excursion is suitable for everyone in good physical condition and used to walking on long,
uneven trails. We will walk on the ancient paths of the charcoal burners among the white limestones
of the Supramonte of Urzulei, overlooking “codula sa mela” among holm oak woods, archaic yew
trees and sporadic maples. We will observe the typical vegetation of the Supramonte until we reach
the ancient traces of the Neolithic Nuragic civilization with the giant graves of s'arena and the
nuraghe Perd'e Balla where our eyes will wander far over the high peaks of central Sardinia. With a
little luck, we will be able to meet the mouflons that graze in large numbers during this period.

Day 3 Gorroppu : –
Enjoy sweeping views on a drive above the Flumineddu Valley, before arriving at Gorroppu gorge,
also known as the Grand Canyon of Europe. The excursion is certainly among the most known,
interesting and spectacular routes of the entire Supramonte. An imposing karst phenomenon
originated by millennial movements of the earth that, together with the erosive action of the waters,
gave rise to high walls that sink for 500 meters from the top. Its narrow vertical walls reach 200m
while the narrowest point is just 4m wide making it the deepest natural gorge in Europe.

Day 4 Cala Goloritzè : –
This time the white limestone paths will take us to one of the most beautiful corners of the Ogliastra
coast. We will see as silent witnesses of the shepherds who frequented these places for thousands of
years the ancient cuiles (shepherds' huts. We will be able to admire the spire of Goloritzè from
above which is a popular destination for climbers from all over the world, but also gaze the cliffs
rising that stretch till Cala Gonone and beyond. After our descent, we will arrive at the white beach
and stunning turquoise water where it will be impossible to resist the temptation to swim. Once the
group restore from this refreshing stop we will head back to the starting point closing the ring path.

Day 5 Cala Luna : –
An exciting trek in a corner of Sardinia of extraordinary beauty, Cala Luna in the Gulf of Orosei, a
wild and extremely fascinating place. We will arrive in the mountain area of Supramonte di Dorgali
and we will walk on ancient limestone paths where the most evident traces will be those left by
shepherds and charcoal burners. Geomorphologies and breathtaking views we will meet along the
way by observing the naturalistic aspects of the places we will enter. Once we reach the beach we
will be enchanted by the incredible transparency of the water and its caves that overlook the bay. At
the end of the excursion, the shepherd friend will show us his art and will be able to let us taste his
delicacies; we will be able to attend various demonstrations of pastoral activity and visit the ancient
cuiles. We will end the day with dinner with the shepherd.

Day 6 Tiscali : –
A mysterious village from the past of central Sardinia is hidden inside a small mountain in the
middle of Lanaitho valley protected by high limestone walls: Tiscali! On the borders of the
Supramonte of Oliena and Dogali in a sinkhole are the remains of an ancient Nuragic civilization. A
mysterious and fascinating place, we will get there from the Oddoene valley in the Dorgali area,
through paths marked by time in the middle of a luxuriant forest of holm oaks, strawberry trees,
junipers, phillyrea and in general Mediterranean scrub. Wonderful landscapes will amaze us until
we reach this extraordinary place where time stopped almost 3000 years ago.

Day 7 Perda Longa – Punta Giradili : –
One of the most beautiful places in the Baunei area. We will move our steps in the first stage of the
famous Selvaggio Blu. The trek starts on a convenient trail near the spectacular Pedralonga rock
pinnacle until the scenic Cengia Giradili, which climbing along the cliff leads to the plateau from
where the views ranges from the Arbatax Gulf to Genn.
