Where	Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado
description	Rocky Mountain National Park is a beautiful park about two hours north of Denver. The town of Estes Park is right next door. There is a fabulous shuttle system that takes you to town and into Rocky Mountain National Park. We’ll stay at the YMCA of the Rockies, a huge facility located near the Rocky Mountain National park.
Proposed Trip	Five nights at the YMCA in Estes Park—Gateway to the Rocky Mountain National Park You will arrange your own transport to the YMCA, Fly to Denver and rent a car or take the airport shuttle to YMCA. FYI, I drove from Phoenix to Estes Park in about 16 hours.
Dates	August 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21. Check in August 16, check out August 21.
Lodging	Wind River Lodge. Each room has two Queen beds
Pricing	Price for two people sharing a room: $596 per person for the 5 nights. Price includes: •  Room •  3 meals a day in their cafeteria •  Day pass to the activities: in door pool, crafts center •  Use of a meeting room.
Meals	All meals are included in the price; however, we will go into town for a meal or two. Sack lunches are available. If you choose to not take a meal, $8 will be deducted per meal. Note: I provide the price for two in a room for reference only. You may choose to have your own room or share three to a room (the price for three to a room is roughly $376). If there is enough interest, I will proceed; however; I would l eave the roommate coordination to each hiker.
Hiking	There is a Hike Master on site at the YMCA. Their team leads hikes and a hike schedule will be available at the beginning of the season. We would coordinate with the hike master for the hikes. See the Activities schedule on their website for this year’s hikes.
August 16	Check in and have dinner together.
August 17	Hike in to Rocky Mountain National Park.
August 18	Day off to explore Estes park or do a hike on your own with the Hike Master.
August 19	Hike in to Rocky Mountain National Park.
August 20	Day off to explore.
August 21	Check out of YMCA.
Things to see/do	1.  Hiking ... Hiking ... Hiking 2. Explore Estes Park town, very scenic with a visitor center and a stream running through the town. 3. The hotel from the movie “The Shining” is also there if you wish to visit it. 4. There is a shuttle which runs through town, stops at the YMCA and continues to Rocky Mountain National Park. 5. Trail Ridge Road: 11 miles of this road is above the tree line: Beautiful and cold.

Next Steps	By November 1, 2017: Let me know if you would be interested in join this trip. Cancellation policy is tough, so please be sure. Would you share a room with one or two other people? NOTE: If you tell me you are interested by replying to this email, you ARE NOT signing up for the trip. However, you are saying that you would be ready to provide a deposit when you DO sign up. Deposit Amount: 20% of the total bill (roughly $120 per person) due within 3 weeks of when I sign the contract. Cancellation  Policy: Pretty tough. Dropping rooms when we are within two months of the date we forfeit 100%—must pay for the rooms. If you sign up, and submit a deposit to me (I then send to YMCA), and your plans change, please plan on finding a replacement for your reservation.
